Nigeria's headline inflation rate fell to 15.43% in July 2026, down from 15.91% in June and 24.94% in July 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics Consumer Price Index report released on 18 August 2026. On a month-on-month basis, inflation stood at 1.57% in July, down from 1.66% in June. Food inflation, however, rose sharply to 20.31% year-on-year in July, up from 17.52% in June.
