What happened, for context

Dozens of masked Israeli settlers attacked homes in the West Bank village of Qusra on Saturday, surrounding a Palestinian residence and throwing stones while seven Palestinians were trapped inside. Israeli military forces arrived and, according to Palestinian witnesses, fired tear gas into the home, detained residents, and allowed settlers to leave. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the violence, calling the perpetrators a "handful of rioters."
